Yes, we support vegetarian and vegan meal requests. If you follow a no-meat diet, simply let us know in advance and we will arrange suitable dishes for you. Many restaurants we cooperate with offer a variety of vegetable-based options, including tofu dishes, stir-fried vegetables, noodles, rice meals, and other non-meat selections.

Absolutely. Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, or have specific dietary restrictions (no meat, no seafood, no eggs, no dairy, etc.), we will arrange meals based on your needs. Please inform us at least one day before the tour so we can prepare accordingly.

Preparation

Wear comfortable, sturdy shoes suitable for walking or hiking. Dress in layers depending on the season, and bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen in summer. For winter, wear warm clothing, gloves, and a scarf.

Wear whatever is comfortable. It is recommended to have a sturdy pair of broken-in trail shoes, boots, or sneakers. It is preferable to dress in layers and wear clothing that will wick away perspiration and keep you dry and comfortable.

Not much, remember our trips are all inclusive. We do suggest you bring appropriate clothing to fit the season and a day pack to carry extra snacks and water.

You must call 72 hours ahead of your scheduled tour for a full refund. Within 72 hours you will assess a $15 termination fee. There are no refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of your tour, or if you decide not to show up.

Yes. Reservations are required for guaranteed spots on all tours. Reservations help us determine the number of guides we need to ensure that our groups remain manageable and enjoyable, and they allow us to notify you of changes to the tour due to weather or anything that could disturb the tours.

Tour guide

The best time to visit Beijing is during spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is mild, the skies are clear, and crowds are moderate. Summer can be hot and humid, while winter is cold but great for visiting snow-covered attractions.

The Great Wall at Mutianyu or Badaling can be reached by private car, tour bus, or public transport. Booking a private tour with Beijing Coach Tour ensures a comfortable ride with flexible timing and less crowd exposure.

Most foreign travelers need a valid Chinese visa to enter Beijing. Ensure your visa is valid for your travel dates. Check with the Chinese embassy or consulate in your country for up-to-date information.

We understand that you may not have a printer handy when you’re traveling so it is not necessary to have a printed copy. However, we require that you show ID matching your reservation and also the Order # that is immediately emailed to you after you make your reservation.

It is recommended to book at least 3–7 days in advance, especially during peak travel seasons like Golden Week (October) or summer holidays, to ensure availability of guides and transportation.

Yes, all private tours include comfortable air-conditioned vehicles with a professional driver, ensuring convenient and safe travel between attractions.

Weather

We do hike in the rain, snow, wind and any other weather conditions that nature decides to throw at us. After all, we’re going to vist city or great wall! If the weather is unsafe for any reason, the trip will be changed or postponed. You will be notified the week of your trip if there are changes due to weather.

Most Beijing tours operate normally in all seasons, including light rain and cold weather. However, in cases of severe weather—such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds, or extreme snowfall—some outdoor attractions may adjust opening hours for safety. If any changes occur, we will notify you immediately and offer alternative sightseeing arrangements.

Beijing’s air quality varies by season. While most days are suitable for touring, occasional haze or smog may occur, especially in winter. All tours still operate, but we recommend:

  • Wearing a mask if you are sensitive.

  • Bringing a scarf or face covering during colder months.

  • Checking real-time AQI updates if you have respiratory concerns.

Indoor attractions like museums and temples remain excellent alternatives on low-air-quality days.
